The Design Engineering Trans Tunnel Plate Heat Shield blocks exhaust heat from coming through the transmission tunnel keeping interior cool and comfortable. A well-known and long-time problem with many Corvettes is the amount of heat transferred into and through the console. DEI's solution to reduces the amount of heat transferred to the Corvette C5 (1997-2005) and C6 (2005-2013) Transmission Tunnel Reinforcement Plates and into the vehicles' interior.
